AREA

"The Alma Bridge, created in 1854 at the request of Napoleon III, is located in the west of the capital. He is known worldwide since August 1997, date of the tragic and fatal accident of Princess Lady Diana. On one side of the Seine (Left Bank) the visitor discovers the Museum of Sewers of Paris and the musée du quai Branly - Jacques Chirac. On the other side (Right Bank), it reaches the Place de l'Alma and its famous Chez Francis brewery. It is also on this square that we discover the replica of the flame of the statue of Liberty Bartholdi, become the place of Parisian recollection in memory of Princess Diana. The Alma bridge is adorned with four large statues, including that of Zouave which served as an instrument for measuring the floods of the Seine (today the measure is taken from the bridge of Tournelle). It offers spectacular views of the Eiffel Tower." (Paris tourist office) )
